Pearson, who made seven appearances this campaign before heading to the Championship Potters in January, has featured regularly for Alex Neil’s men.
However, he will be forced to sit out of tonight’s home clash with Wigan Athletic, after receiving a red card at the weekend.
Already on a booking, the 28-year-old was given his marching orders by referee Andy Woolmer in the closing moments, as Stoke lost 2-1 at home to West Bromwich Albion.
Pearson’s second yellow card came after he threw the ball, twice, towards Darnell Furlong, who was stood waiting to take a throw-in. Rather than attempt to catch it, Furlong allowed the ball to hit him on both occasions, with Woolmer sending Pearson down the tunnel at Bet365 Stadium.
Ben Pearson’s second yellow card at the weekend is hilarious 🤣🤣

Speaking after the game, Neil said: “The referee’s performance is as poor as I’ve seen at senior level.
“Getting Ben Pearson sent off is stupid for him and disappointing for us, but you can understand his frustration. If the referee got control of the game, I don’t think anybody would have any complaints. There was a lot of frustration and anger.”
