PESHAWAR:
Tragedy struck the town of Shawal in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district when a vehicle transporting labourers exploded, resulting in the tragic loss of 11 lives late on Saturday.
According to local police, the explosion, which took place near Gul Mir Kot, completely destroyed the vehicle. In addition to the fatalities, two others sustained severe injuries, with their condition said to be critical.
Three people also went missing after the explosion, the added.

DSP Shawal Police Station Sher Ullah said that a total of 16 labourers were onboard the ill-fated vehicle during the incident. The wounded people and the deceased bodies were transferred to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Hospital sources informed that the victims of the blast have been identified as Mubeet Ullah, Sahab Noor, Jannat Ullah, Asad Ullah Khan, Mir Wali Khan, Maqbool Khan, Sher Zahid, Syed Manoor, Mahaad Ayaz, Muhammad Wali and Gul Haseen. The injured include Umar Zahid and Umar Ayaz.
The deceased hailed from South Waziristan, and their bodies have been transported to their hometowns.
