‘I can’t see anymore, total black’: this is how Annalisa Minetti announced the loss of vision due to the worsening of the retinitis pigmentosa she has been suffering from since she was eighteen.
‘The ophthalmologist told me recently that I’m getting worse anatomically too, but I don’t even notice it at this point’, Minetti confessed in an interview with The Truth.
‘A bit rosy that I can’t see myself anymore. I am how I feel: today in overalls and when I go on TV dressed as a hottie (…) My father always told me: you will be the light. I do what I can’.
Until now, the singer and Paralympic athlete had used a new technology to be able to see partially: it is a mini-camera positioned on the frame of the glasses capable of recognizing and describing the outside world.
Thanks to her new single ‘Blu’ in radio rotation, Minetti however does not give up, as one of the passages of her most famous Sanremo song ‘Senza te o con te’ recited. ‘They’re just moments, really difficult, alone in this gray room without colours… Uphill, I know, I think I’ll make it’.
