The Duchess of Edinburgh stunned in a floral maxi dress as she visited east London to officially open a new community-focused fashion training centre.
Sophie, 58, opened The Portal Centre for Social Impact at Poplar Works today – a space providing a vibrant, community-focused fashion training and manufacturing unit.
She dazzled as she wore a satin tulip maxi dress from ME+EM which retails for £325.
The Duchess stood out as she wore the printed dress, which had a mix of cream, purple and orange colours on it.
The dress is long-sleeved with a V neckline and has flattering fitted waist detailing.

She let her blonde locks sit just below her shoulder and went for natural makeup, wearing metallic eyeshadow, eyeliner and a touch of bronzer.

The Centre has been made possible by a four million pound grant from The Portal Trust, who had representatives at the visit.
The Portal Centre builds on ten years of social responsibility at London College of Fashion, reflecting the drive and ambition to cultivate inclusive, collaborative, innovative spaces, and programmes for its communities.
It focuses on the delivery of the next stage of ‘Making for Change’ – an initiative created in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice in 2014 by London College of Fashion, UAL.

The Portal Trust has been around since 1748 and has become trustee for two schools, created and supported two Technical Institutes, a Nautical College and an affordable student Hall of Residence
