To take the virtual experience of its customers to another level, Amazon, is now providing its users with the option to discover and buy physical products from Amazon stores while playing video games or using any other mobile app. With Amazon Anywhere, people can discover and buy physical products from Amazon stores without leaving their game or application.

But, users need to wait for a little more to enjoy Amazon Anywhere in their favourite game, as it is launched within Peridot in its initial stage. Peridot is a new real-world augmented reality game from Niantic. Earlier, Niantic created a buzz with the launch of the Pokemon Go game. The game features unique virtual pets powered by artificial intelligence.

“Amazon Anywhere helps bring the magic of Peridot from augmented reality to reality with an engaging in-game physical merchandise store. When playing Peridot, you can access physical products within the game as you care for one-of-a-kind creatures and explore the world together,” said Steve Downer, Vice President of Consumer Electronics at Amazon, in one of the blogs.
How does Amazon Anywhere work?
Users can use the new service after linking their Amazon account with Peridot. After linking, they can purchase Peridot branded products like T-shirts, hoodies, phone accessories, etc. Users can get the details of the product, and check its image, availability, eligibility, and other price even without stepping out of the game.

After checking all the details, customers can tap on the ‘buy’ button and check out using their Amazon account, even without leaving their game.
Other than players, Amazon Anywhere service is also available for creators and developers of virtual worlds, video games, or mobile application makers. The service will help them curate products by drawing inspiration from Amazon’s options. With this, developers and creators would be able to offer more than digital products. The new service will open another dimension of an immersive shopping experience, where users can buy their favourite products without worrying about selection, shipping, or fulfillment.
