Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman took a staggering catch to send away Nepal’s Gulsan Jha in the inaugural match of the 2023 Asia Cup on Wednesday in Multan Cricket Stadium.
In the 21st over of Nepal’s innings, Jha aggressively aimed to attack a yorker delivered by Shadab Khan, hoping to launch it over deep mid-wicket. Unfortunately, he only managed to produce a top-edge that initially was expected to touch down in an empty outfield.
Nonetheless, Zaman had an alternative plan as he sprinted in from the boundary rope, attempted a forward dive, and took the catch mid-air. This exceptional fielding display left the commentators and the audience in sheer amazement.

This was Shadab Khan’s first wicket of the innings, and he took three more wickets, ultimately restricting Nepal to a total of 104 runs.
Shadab ended with impressive figures of 4-27 in 6.4 overs, as Pakistan defeated Nepal by a massive 238-run margin.
