If you’ve ever had the case of the munchies after having a little too much to drink, you’re not alone.
Well, depending on what you crave, that is.
A recent survey looks at the “drunchies,” a food craving — generally for something greasy and salty — after drinking.
Canadians couldn’t nail down one item but of the 21 food options listed in the survey, the top 13 were, in no particular order: pizza, breakfast food, quesadillas, French fries, onion rings, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, shawarma, kebab, fish and chips, poutine, pierogies, and Chinese food.
The survey, conducted by gambling resource Online-Casinos.com and examined “drunchies” in Canada and the U.S.

Of the Americans surveyed, 44% said they get those cravings often or every time they drink their faces off. But Canadians get the drunchies even more often, as 51% of respondents noted they regularly have drunken cravings every time they consume too much alcohol.
Of those who woke up the following day and discovered how much they spent on satisfying their cravings, 38% of Canadians regretted their drunken choices.
McDonald’s, A&W, Domino’s, Wendy’s and Pizza Hunt are the Canadians’ favourite places to fill their inebriated bellies.
As far as weirdest drunk food cravings, the respondents didn’t hold back.
Dry ramen noodles was considered the weirdest, although we should give those who provided that response a slow clap for being smart enough not to start boiling water while impaired.
Other creepy cravings include fries with maple syrup, mac and cheese in a taco, spaghetti smothered in ranch dressing, peanut butter and grilled cheese, pickles in Nutella and pizza drizzled with chocolate syrup.
It shows that no food pairing is too gross for even the drunkest person to pass on.
