New troubles for the artist, who has lost over 200,000 followers on Instagram due to this thorny affair.
The law firm representing Lizzo’s three former dancers has revealed it is looking into new complaints from people who have worked with the rapper.
“We’ve had at least six inquiries from other people with similar stories since we filed the complaint,” attorney Ron Zambrano told CBS News.
‘Noelle (Rodriguez), Crystal (Williams) and Arianna (Davis) have courageously spoken out and shared their experiences, opening the door for others to feel empowered to do the same.’
“Some of the confessions we’re looking into involve allegations of a sexually harassing environment and employee non-payment and may be actionable, but it’s too soon to tell,” she added.
At the moment Lizzo has not yet commented on the new allegations.
A week ago Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, who were part of Lizzo’s corps de ballet in 2021, formally filed a complaint with the Los Angeles court, in which they accused the artist of fueling a working environment toxic and disrespectful.
Apparently there would have been ‘sexually derogatory’ behavior and there would have been psychological pressure for the dancers in question to participate in erotic shows with naked artists in an Amsterdam club.
The 35-year-old, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, denied everything in a lengthy Instagram post, where she reiterated: ‘I live my sexuality very freely, but I cannot accept or allow people to use that openness to make me seem something I’m not. There is nothing more serious to me than the respect that women in the world deserve. I know what it’s like to be laughed at for your body. I would never criticize or fire anyone because of her weight.”
