Professor Mark Parsons and Gagan Sharma, two celebrated names in the field of AI and data science are scheduled to come to Nepal on May 21.
The two tech experts are all set to empower women to excel in AI and data Science in a workshop. The event organiser said in a press statement that their arrival in Nepal is set to be a game-changer for the local tech scene.
Professor Mark Parsons is the Executive Director of the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre and professor of medicine and neurology at the UNSW South Western Sydney Clinical School, a professor of neurology at the University of Melbourne, and a visiting professor at Fudan University in Shanghai.
He is an internationally recognised leader in stroke medicine and a highly sought-after speaker, instructor, and mentor in clinical neuroscience and is extremely well-known for his expertise in high-performance computing, data science, and artificial intelligence.
Gagan Sharma, on the other hand, is an experienced professional with more than 10 years of experience in creating and leading solutions for neuroscience research, including large-scale clinical trials.
He is passionate and an expert in data science and is actively pursuing computer vision solutions for next-gen medical solutions. Currently, he is the head of Informatics and an Informatics Specialist and Manager at the Melbourne Brain Centre at Royal Melbourne Hospital.
He has worked on numerous projects across the world, including in Nepal, and is recognised as a leading expert in the field of AI & data science.
The two experts will be holding a workshop on May 21 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu, aimed at empowering women to excel in the fields of AI and data science.
