HYDERABAD:
A suspected mugger was critically injured at sensitive parts when the pistol, tucked in his pant, went off while he was drawing it to threaten a citizen.
Two suspects on a motorcycle were robbing citizens outside Abdullah Mall near National Highway.
However, the people started gathering to catch the suspects. One of the suspects, later identified as Imtiaz Bhund, tried to intimidate the people and reached for his pistol. But as he pulled it out, it went off hitting him in the groin.
His partner started the bike and escaped leaving him withering in pain on the ground. The people, good at heart, hauled Bhund in a car and handed him over to cops at Naseem Nagar check post. Police shifted him to Civil Hospital in critical condition. According to police spokesperson, Bhund was wanted in number of mugging cases.
Separately, a suspected outlaw was arrested in injured condition after an encounter with Hali Road police near American Quarters Lal Tanki in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Police spokesman informed that the police on a tip off surrounded suspected dacoits riding on a motorbike but they opened fire on police.
As a result of cross firing a suspect identified as Abdul Rahim Pirzado sustained gunshot and fell from the bike and was arrested in injured condition while another suspect managed to escape, spokesman added.
He informed that the arrested suspect and his accomplices are said to be involved in several criminal activities including robbery incidents and also wanted to police.
The injured suspect was shifted to Liaquat University Hospital city branch for treatment.
