Islamabad. The first case of Congo virus infection of 2023 has come to light in Pakistan. A 28-year-old man died during treatment at a private hospital in Karachi due to the virus. He was taken to a private hospital, where he was treated for a day. It has been told that on May 2, Adil had a very high fever and was taken to the hospital. The victim later complained of bleeding from the nose. The official said that initially the patient was tested for dengue and malaria, but the results were negative.

According to the health department, Mohammad Adil’s condition deteriorated after two days and he was shifted and admitted to a hospital in North Nazimabad on 4 May. A health department spokesperson said that despite intensive care, the patient died on May 5. The health department said that the patient had no animals at home and had not traveled outside Karachi during this period.

This virus can spread to humans by the bite of the parasite or by coming in contact with the fluid coming out of the body of an infected animal. The symptoms of Congo virus are similar to dengue fever, but blood starts coming out of the skin. Liver and kidney failure can occur due to the virus.
