He was taken to a private hospital, where he was treated for a day. It has been told that on May 2, Adil had a very high fever and was taken to the hospital. The victim later complained of bleeding from the nose. The official said that initially the patient was tested for dengue and malaria, but the results were negative.

According to the health department, Mohammad Adil’s condition deteriorated after two days and he was shifted and admitted to a hospital in North Nazimabad on 4 May. A health department spokesperson said that despite intensive care, the patient died on May 5. The health department said that the patient had no animals at home and had not traveled outside Karachi during this period.

Congo virus is mainly transmitted to humans by ticks on cattle and other livestock and can cause severe fever, muscle pain, vomiting and internal bleeding. It has a high mortality rate, and there is currently no vaccine or specific treatment for the virus.

Health department asked to take precautions
According to ARY News, the provincial health department has urged citizens to take precautions to avoid exposure to the virus, such as wearing protective clothing and maintaining cleanliness when in contact with cattle or other animals. Significantly, this was the fourth death due to this virus in the last ten days. On May 2, a 20-year-old woman died in Quetta due to Congo virus.

What is Congo virus?
Congo virus or Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever is fatal. This virus spreads to humans through a parasite named Himoral that sticks to the skin of animals. This virus can spread to humans by the bite of the parasite or by coming in contact with the fluid coming out of the body of an infected animal. The symptoms of Congo virus are similar to dengue fever, but blood starts coming out of the skin. Liver and kidney failure can occur due to the virus.
