There have been attacks on Hindus, Hindu symbols and Hindu places of worship in many countries. Propaganda campaigns are being run against Hindu religion. Britain’s The Henry Jackson Society has released a report in this regard. The title of the report is Anti Hindu Hate in Schools. The report clearly states that anti-Hindu hatred is rampant in UK schools and Hindu children are teased and humiliated on the basis of worshiping multiple gods and goddesses, considering the cow sacred and the caste system etc.
- The report of Henry Jackson Society has been prepared on the basis of interaction with 998 Hindu parents. Of these, 51 per cent said that their children had faced anti-Hindu hatred. The report comes after reports of anti-Hindu riots in Leicester last year. It said that a major reason for the violence was anti-Hindu propaganda.
- The report states that a girl child was asked to convert to an Abrahamic religion while making fun of her for being a vegetarian.
- There have also been incidents of Hindu children being targeted in the same way as Jews were once compared to symbols in Hinduism such as the swastika, compared to Hitler’s.
- The report does not say that the Hindu children made any comments against Islam or Christianity. So it cannot be said that Muslim or Christian students and teachers etc. are doing this in reaction.

In fact, only a small part of the ongoing Hinduphobia i.e. campaign and violence against Hindus in many countries including Europe and America has come in this report.
- The Contagion Research Institute, an American organization that researches hatred against religions and races, has told in its study that anti-Hindu comments have increased by 1000 percent in the last few years.
- According to this study, Pakistan’s role in spreading hatred against Hindus and Indians is also huge. Every day thousands of tweets are made from Pakistan spreading hatred against Hindus.
- In America, a group of Democratic Party leaders have been seen running it in the form of a campaign. There are people among the leaders of Britain’s Labor Party who, under the influence of their so-called left-wing progressive thinking and fundamentalist Muslims, consider it their duty to ridicule Hinduism and its rituals.
- The problem of other countries is that they interpret Hindu religion and society from the point of view of their religion.
- Parents in the British study report that the mention of Hinduism in textbooks is actually mocking it. That’s why reading these books create misconceptions about Hinduism and Hindus among the students. Hindu religion cannot be explained in the mirror of Abrahamic religions.
Why increased hatred
As far as the behavior of Christians is concerned, the British, who ruled Asia and Africa including India, gave the Whitman Burden theory. It meant that it is our responsibility to civilize the people of these countries and that is why we are ruling. This sense of considering oneself to be of better civilization and culture has not ended. But there has been an increase in hatred and violence against Hindus in recent years. What is the reason for this?
- Hindu organizations are working all over the world on a large scale. Because of these, wherever Hindus are, they are running cultural, religious, social, intellectual and creative activities there. Their influence has also increased.
- There are about 3.5 crore people of Indian origin in the world, of which Hindus are the largest. They hold top positions in many countries and play leading roles in business, science, culture, academia and the media.
- After becoming the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi addressed the Indian diaspora even in small countries and tried to create a sense of pride in their culture and civilization and an emotional attachment to India.
- Many organizations including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh have also been working in this direction for a long time, so they have made a huge impact. Indians and Indians have now become vocal about their culture, civilization and spirituality. If any community rises up like this, then those who consider themselves superior will feel the problem.
Pakistan and groups of Muslims influenced by it have increased Hinduphobia by saying that the ideology of the RSS and the Narendra Modi government is to crush other religions, Muslims are being oppressed, their religious activities are being disrupted.
What is the remedy?
India raised the issue of Hinduphobia twice in the United Nations last year. India is trying to include this in the world organization’s deliberations and proposals. Vigilant Hindus and Hindu organizations have also launched a parallel positive campaign after Hinduphobia became a reality. The result is the resolution passed last month against Hinduphobia in Georgia, USA. In this, not only the truth of Hindu religion, civilization and culture was revealed, but accepting the contribution of Hindus in America, action has also been taken against those who spread Hinduphobia.
The conclusion is that taking the adverse situation as an opportunity, alert active Hindu community and organizations should spread wide publicity about their religion, culture, concept of Indian nationalism etc. This cultural and material onslaught can not only be countered but the acceptance of Hindu religion, civilization and culture can also be increased if there is confidence among Hindus all over the world.
